Japanese Magazine Bags

Japanese Magazines working with certain brands to include small gifts in their magazine has been around for a long time. 


However, there has been a recent hype on branded names working together with magazine publishers to include a bag or pouch into their magazine catalogue. 

These magazines have been selling like hotcakes, and consumers purchase the magazine solely for the purpose of owning the particular bag, and not for the purpose of reading that particular magazine catalogue. 

These books are priced from JPY1300 (SGD20) onwards, depending on the quality of the item. These are not fake items, they are produced for the brand themselves. However, they are normally of lower quality and smaller in size, hence they are able to be priced lower.   

A recent visit to a bookstore in Japan got me hooked into these magazines.
